Nantou County - 112 Waste Reduction at the Source and Enhanced Classification Recycling Subsidy Program

The Environmental Protection Bureau of Nantou County Government (hereinafter referred to as the Bureau) actively promotes the concept of zero emissions and encourages the adoption of plastic reduction behaviors and consumption habits among the public. The Bureau aims to achieve a clean and sustainable green lifestyle and promote sustainable tourism, with the goal of eliminating pollution and litter through changes in industrial supply, thereby creating a balanced profit for society, local culture, economic development, and natural environment. The Bureau is implementing the "Nantou County 112th Year Waste Reduction and Strengthening of Recycling Subsidy Program" (hereinafter referred to as the Program), which promotes waste reduction at the source, mandatory waste sorting and reduction, promotion of resource reuse and extension of product lifecycle, restrictions on single-use accommodation products, promotion of food waste recycling, performance evaluation, and related inspection operations. Through these measures, the Bureau is committed to reducing waste, conserving energy, and promoting responsible consumption at the individual, community, and small-to-medium enterprise levels.
